Healings,
Signs and Wonders There is nothing like the six-day National Emotionally Free Seminar anywhere in the United States, or the world for that matter. This is the only ecumenical gathering where both the Basic and Advanced Emotionally Free Courses are given in the same week. You can of course come for one or both. The following are examples of some of the healings accomplished during the prayer times using the Emotionally Free biblical teachings. A Physical Healing Witness I have to admit that I thought you were a little off base when you asked me to forgive the alcoholic who had vomited where I slipped in the Charlotte Airport! But, the results speak for themselves. My back and neck are healed! Thanks be to God. Thank you for being His vessel. Rita, I have lived with that pain and discomfort since the summer of 1980. When I asked God why He took so long to heal it, He told me that He wanted me to never forget how important and integral forgiveness is to healing. I don't think I will ever forget. [Roger Merritt, Winston-Salem, N.C., 10/07/01] Witness From a Couple Last month, the day before we left on vacation, Ginger and I completed the Emotionally Free Course for East Africa with Gail Patton. Even now Gail is leaving for Uganda with Edwina Thomas and a SOMA mission. We profited much from the Course. Each night since we were introduced to the "Who and What I Am" page, Ginger and I have laid hands on each other and prayed those Scriptures. The results are fantastic. God bless you Rita. [Kenneth MacGowan, Jr., Pastor Falls Church, VA, 08/20/01] Isn't God good? Thank you Roger, and Pastor Kenneth for your witness. What Do I Do in the Emotionally Free Courses? You learn, study, discuss, pray, cry, rejoice, sing, celebrate Communion, and eat together in our conference room, local restaurants and at the beach. Each Emotionally Free Course includes 16 hours of teaching, syllabus questions, small group discussion, and prayer. In addition to this, there is singing, worship, and meals. The two Courses combined are 32 hours long. Each attractive syllabus has 120 pages of information, illustrations, and prayers, and more. The final day of the Advanced Course there is a Prayer Practicum where we pray four hours with each emotionally wounded person from our local community or, if requested, for some members of the seminar. This year joining me as a Co-teacher is The Rev. Mike Messina from St. Patrick's Church in Ocala, Florida. He has taught Emotionally Free for many years in his parish and is Christian Renewal's southeast representative. Pastor Mike will be going to West Africa on a missionary journey just before his mininstry to us here in Edmonds. It will be great to have him straight from the mission field. You can come for a healing journey for yourself, or to heal others, or to prepare to be a Facilitator or Teacher. July 24th will be a day of training for potential leaders. To learn more and to find the detailed schedule, visit our website: EmotionallyFree.org. Also check the teacher's page for other opportunities and locations. See you soon July 21-27, 2002. Alphabetic Sign in the Sky, 2002
"Dear Rita, My husband, Gabriel, and I were driving home from Oak Harbor on Mother's Day when I spotted a cloud formation that looked very much like a sheen (English spelling shin). We watched the cloud for 5-10 minutes as we drove and it did not move or change at all during the time we watched it. We finally pulled over to capture a picture; the result is what Alice [Rivas] forwarded to you. After the picture was taken, within 15 minutes it was gone. "I remembered hearing prophetic words spoken over this area, and it seemed that this cloud was symbolic of God placing His Name over our area. Absolutely you may use this for your newsletter or however else you choose. You were instrumental to my sister's family in receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit just a little over one year ago, so I'm glad that this may be used as a blessing to you. Shalom, Lorraine Varela". Sign of the Sheen Two letters in the Hebrew alphabet that look alike are the sheen (English shin) having a dot or dagesh over the top right hand side, and the seen which is a sheen having a dagesh over the top left hand side. Notice in the picture of the cloud formation there is the dagesh on the right which shows it is definitely a sheen. What
does this sheen There are even more meanings you can glean for yourself. I've heard it said that our physical heart and three main arteries are in the shape of a sheen, and the rabbi when giving a priestly blessing holds up his hands to look like the sheen , fingers two and three, and four and five held close together. Both of these are of course without a dagesh. How
does this meaning of the sheen No doubt about it, we greatly need this "sign of the sheen " in our lives. What better sign could God send to us today in this world of chaos? What a mighty message from our Lord God is given by only one Hebrew letter! No matter where you live, the message of the Sheen is for you too. And Northwesterners be encouraged. Everyone keep looking up and do learn the Hebrew alphabet! Another Sign in the Northwest Sky, Seven Years Ago
I wrote about it in the Fall 1995 edition of our newsletter "The Morning Watch" and interviewed four witnesses on "Seattle Praise the Lord," KTBW-TBN TV. I still have a video copy of the program. Click to read the article "Dove in the Sky". "Signs and Wonders" Peter's sermon on the Day of Pentecost mentioned signs from God as he spoke prophetically ". . . I [God] will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath . . ." (Acts 2:18b, 19a KJV). Daniel said to King Nebuchadnezzar,"I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me. How great are His signs, and how mighty His wonders! His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation" (4:2,3 NKJV mod). Is the Lord trying to encourage us, or what? Be blessed by His love for you. Nothing substitutes for the knowledge and wisdom received through personal Bible study, but these signs are like very special bonuses for us. God is Doing a New Thing in our Midst We launched a new seminar this year - The Hebrew Alphabet Course. In the past, many seminaries taught students, as did the University of Chicago, to let the experts explain to you what Scripture means in Hebrew because it is far too complicated a language for ministerial students to have time to study and fully understand. This in essence is what my late husband, Dennis, explained to me. What a loss that was for the students at that time. I hope this has changed or is changing. Fortunately, there are many helpful commentaries and interlinear Hebrew and English studies these days for which I am most grateful. I think the first modern copy available to the public was Zondervan's "The Interlinear NIV Hebrew-English Old Testament" 1979 edition. But I've discovered there is no reason for lay-people as well as ministers not to study Hebrew (E'vret) and be personally enriched. Learning the Hebrew aleph-bet (alphabet) will strengthen Believers incredibly as we learn the spiritual meanings for each letter, the Hebraic understanding of Bible Codes, and the poetic aleph-bet acrostics throughout the Tanakh or Old Testament. I've counted acrostics in three books and in thirty-three chapters of the Old Testament thus far (must have a Hebrew Tanakh for this). Some Bible scholars have seen an aleph-bet pattern in the entire New Testament's 27 books relating to the 22 Hebrew letters plus the five final form letters, or 27 in all. Plus they've found the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet spiritually summarize each of the 22 chapters of the Book of Revelation. The first ten letters of the aleph-bet show the meaning of the Ten Commandments of God and assists in your recall. There seems to be no end to the significance one can learn from this language given to us by our Creator God, Elohim. I think that at this time in history it's important for us to study His Word on a deeper level. Jesus our King who took on a Jewish earthly identity will be coming back to rule and reign on earth. Consider getting ready for His reign by studying the language He spoke when He was here.1 We hope to make this class available each year before the Lord's Prayer Course. Our guest Hebrew teacher this May was Israeli Boaz Pnini who was a very special gift to us. He's been my Hebrew tutor for over a year. (Grads pictured in masthead.) Lord's Prayer Seminar has Great Results I always enjoy teaching the Inner Wholeness Through the Lord's Prayer Course because I grow in knowledge each year as I study and upgrade the material. It grows as I grow. During my study of the Hebrew language these last four years, I've been able to incorporate Hebrew symbols and knowledge into the Course. I now understand that the prayer Jesus left us is "The Jewish Lord's Prayer" for all people. My new goal is by the time we present the IWLP Course next year to be able to pray "The Lord's Prayer" in Hebrew - the language in which it was originally given by our Lord Jesus (or Yeshua).2 The Lord's Prayer Course, by God's standards, was a real success as we met at our ecumenical outreach location of Harbor Square. We had an intimate group of eighteen with ten graduates. We were international with two lovely women, Emiko and Yoko coming all the way from Japan to join us. My longtime friend and missionary to Japan, Dana Thompson, became their interpreter. There will again be a Japanese presence at the upcoming Edmonds Emotionally Free Course July 21-27. Coming from the East Coast of New Jersey was a mother and son, Louise and Fred, who came because God gave a supernatural Word of Knowledge to Louise that she and her son were to attend the seminars and connect with their Jewish roots. They bravely took the 3-1/2 hour Hebrew Course, a brand new experience for them, which was held before the IWLP this year. Fred gave this gift to his mother for Mother's Day, then they left Saturday night for New Jersey to be home to celebrate his wife's Mother's Day celebration with their children. What a son! Liz Glover, PhD, my co-teacher did a terrific job. Other good news is that she will be teaching her own IWLP Course at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Eugene, Oregon beginning October first, this fall. Liz is our newest teacher on our Website: www.EmotionallyFree.org. Take a minute to go to the Teacher's Page and send her an e-mail congratulating her. And if you live near Eugene, you should sign up for this life-changing Course on The Lord's Prayer. At the end, you will feel that your soul has been bathed in the words of the Greatest Prayer ever written and your mind will be expanded, deepened in God's Word. One graduate wrote after taking both Courses: "I'm still walking in the afterglow of the weekend! Jen Annan. I hope you'll plan to join us in Edmonds in next year for the Hebrew Alphabet Course and the Inner Wholeness Through the Lord's Prayer Course in May, and the Emotionally Free Basic and Advanced Courses in July. Come and be a part of our Schools of the Spirit and Word. Footnotes 1. "The Jerusalem School scholars believe that Jesus' words and deeds were first transmitted in Hebrew, and not in Aramaic . . ."
